68 HOUR MEDICATION AIDE CLASS
Adequate Heartbeats, LLC covers the following material:
- 40 hours of online classroom Instruction. Just login and learn at your own pace!
- 20 hours of supervised skills practice in medication administration to residents of an assisted living facility.
- An eight-hour module learning about insulin to include instruction and skills practice in the administration of insulin as specified in the board-approved curriculum.
Before you proceed you must be sure that you have the following items below:
1. Identification Card/ Driver’s License
2. One of the following certificates:
a) Virginia Department of Social Services approved 40-Hr Direct Patient Care program.
b) Virginia Medicaid Approved 40-Hr Personal Care Aide Certificate.
c) Virginia Board of Nursing approved Nurse Aide Certificate.
3. TB Test
4. Obtain a Background Check (given at the school)
Please note that 20 hours of clinical hours must be completed in person. You must be able to attend all days, or you will not pass the class.
